My SatGuru: An Ocean of Compassion

This incident occurred when NITINDADA lived in Aquem, Goa. From the beginning of August 2010, DADA'S B.P. used to be very low; with systolic BP lower than 60 (which is alarming)! Still, HE continued going to work and used to come home looking exhausted. The local GP (family doctor) had advised immediate hospitalisation, which DADA refused.

I had been to HIS house on the 22nd Aug. for Satsang. HE was unwell and had severe diarrhoea. When I was leaving, HE told me, "tomorrow I am going to fall ill. So if you can, please come here because your aunties (my 2 aunties at that time were 65 & 76 yrs old) and uncle (he was 83 yrs old) will get scared". HE told me not to call the doctor and hospitalisation would not be required. I asked HIM whether I could stay with HIM the next night. HE said it would not be required. So I told my aunties that, "maybe HIS diarrhoea will worsen tomorrow so we should keep lemon juice ready for HIM".

On the morning of the 23rd, DADA went to work. In the evening, HE picked me up on HIS way home to Aquem. After the Satsang, DADA got a call from Indiratai (Dada's wife), who was boarding a flight at Greenville to go to New York to come to India. She told HIM she would call on reaching New York (which was a 2-hr journey).

In Feb, 2020 Dada was in Mumbai and was supposed to come for the 1st of March, Satsang to Goa

At that time, MadhukarAnna Rao and Shakutai (his wife) (Devotees from the USA) were staying in Goa. They had obtained their learner's licence, the needed prerequisite, to begin their training for getting their permanent driving license for India. In Goa, none of the motor training schools provides cars with automatic gears for the training. Anna told this problem to Indiravaini and she suggested to him to use Dada's car for his training since it is with automatic gears.

Roads in Goa are narrow and the cars in India are Right-hand drive whereas in the US they are Left-hand drive. As such, during one of his practice sessions, Anna mistakenly rammed the car into the back of a static vehicle. Consequently, Dada's car got damaged on the left side. I was with him at that time.

We called Dada and He told us to take the car to one workshop. There, we had to fill the insurance form. In the said form, we had to fill the driver's name and his licence number. I suggested that since Anna did not have a permanent Indian driving licence, we can mention that I was driving. My intention was ...

Dada's Subtle Blessings

Yesterday, my daughter appeared for an exam online. It was an almost four hours long exam with two short breaks. As she sat in our hall attempting her exam, there was a thought that stuck my mind by Dada's Grace, which I wanted to share. Many a time, Dada blesses me so subtly that I do not even count them as an important event, let alone to treat it as a blessing. Yesterday, the reason my daughter could attempt her exam was nothing but Dada's countless blessings. In the evening, when we sat together, I shared with her:

Blessing 1: After every paper got over and, when her long exam was finally over, she had a smile on her face reflecting that she was happy attempting the papers and according to her, she did well! It was Dada's blessings that she was satisfied with her own performance.

Blessing 2: As it was an online paper, what if there was a power cut! I explained it to her, that even if she would have been more than 100% prepared for her exam, BUT, if there was a power cut during the exam, then what?? It was purely Dada's blessings that she could finish her paper smoothly with no technical issues.

Blessing 3: For her breakfast, I was preparing banana pancakes. As I flipped a pancake on the nonstick pan, by mistake, some of the hot ghee landed on my face on ...

Towards the end of His एकांतवास, Dada met us. He said that two days later on May 29th, He would be going somewhere and that Alpana (my wife), Kalpita (my sister-in-law), and I could join Him if we wanted. We were extremely pleased. He said that we would need to be ready early in the morning and the place where He would be taking us was approximately three hours away by car.

I told Him that my mother was going to come back to Goa with my sister on the 29th by an afternoon flight and that they would go to my sister's place. Since I reside in Goa, I thought that I should be at the airport to receive them and bring them to my home first so that my mother could rest awhile before they proceed onward. Recovery from Stage 4 Cancer

This is my story. In the year 2014 I faced a calamity which I had never imagined. For a few months I was having  breathlessness. Actually I could not identify that it was breathlessness since I had never experienced it. Finally in the month of May even walking a few steps became painful. A chest x-ray revealed that the left side of my chest was filled with fluid. I was admitted to a hospital. The chest physician who was treating me had a strong suspicion that I had cancer and ordered a biopsy. My entire world came crashing down. My family and me were extremely frightened and confused. There were only questions with no answers in sight. 

At that time Sri Nitin Dada was visiting our aunt Prafulla Gaitonde in Pune. She broke the news to Nitin Dada. She told Him that there was bad news to which he replied that no news is bad. Nitin Dada started from Pune to come to Mumbai. Before leaving He told Prafulla Kaki, "The job is done". (Later Prafulla Kaki would always quote Him and tell me that now you have nothing to worry about.)
