In Feb, 2020 Dada was in Mumbai and was supposed to come for the 1st of March, Satsang to Goa
At that time, MadhukarAnna Rao and Shakutai (his wife) (Devotees from the USA) were staying in Goa. They had obtained their learner's licence, the needed prerequisite, to begin their training for getting their permanent driving license for India. In Goa, none of the motor training schools provides cars with automatic gears for the training. Anna told this problem to Indiravaini and she suggested to him to use Dada's car for his training since it is with automatic gears.
Roads in Goa are narrow and the cars in India are Right-hand drive whereas in the US they are Left-hand drive. As such, during one of his practice sessions, Anna mistakenly rammed the car into the back of a static vehicle. Consequently, Dada's car got damaged on the left side. I was with him at that time.
We called Dada and He told us to take the car to one workshop. There, we had to fill the insurance form. In the said form, we had to fill the driver's name and his licence number. I suggested that since Anna did not have a permanent Indian driving licence, we can mention that I was driving. My intention was to avoid the claim rejection and reduce hassles in the survey. However, after speaking to Dada, we stated the true facts and left the rest to Him.
Dada's car is registered in Pune so the claim was lodged there. For some reason, the Insurance company appointed an investigator besides a surveyor as they found the claim to be suspicious.
The Investigator, Mr. X, asked Anna to come to Mumbai and give submissions. Then he asked me as well to meet him, whenever I go to Mumbai to give my statement.
Soon, I went to Mumbai for Satsang and met Dada who told me that Mr. X had met Him before and now he will come to meet me.
Accordingly, I met Mr. X and gave my submissions. He asked me whether I was with Anna when the accident took place. Probably he wanted to confirm whether Anna was driving under the supervision of a person holding a valid permanent licence. Then he asked me whether I had carried my mobile at that time. When I replied 'yes', he extracted some details from GPS app on my mobile. He thus got the detailed history of my movements on the day of the accident, when did we start our drive, at which location I was at the time of the accident etc. This, he corroborated with our statements and all our statements joined perfectly together like a puzzle.
After Mr. X finished his job, he started a discussion about his personal life. He told me that he did not marry to take care of his mother and a sister and currently, his mother is ill and therefore, he could not visit Goa for investigation. He also wanted to meet Dada. At that time, Dada came and met him. Dada gave उदी आणि तीर्थ to him for his ailing mother.
After he left, Dada looked at me and said "nice man! isn't he?" I then told Dada about the information given to Mr. X.
I was amazed to see how all the events had unfolded.
Dada taught us through this incident that whatever the situation may be, we should stick to the truth because HE is always watching.
Dada refrained me from giving false information that I was driving the car at the time of accident though I was tempted to do so. I realised that I was applying short cut tactics for a smooth settlement. However, hiding and twisting the facts could have caused complications in the claim settlement and such an act was against HIS principles.
With His Grace, I realised that everything happens for a reason. This accident also happened with Dada's will and the claim was picked for investigation so that Mr. X gets an opportunity to meet Dada to seek His blessings and help for his ailing mother.
Thank You, Dada, for showing us the right path.
