This last Sunday, both my children were appearing for IPM, a math exam conducted by an external agency. This exam was scheduled in April this year however, with Covid and lockdown, this exam got postponed and finally, the online exam was scheduled on September 27. IPM had sent us a link to check whether our systems are compatible to take this test or not. I told my children to check the same.
On Saturday evening at 7.45pm, my daughter informed me that when they click on the link, it shows 'Fail'. I was shocked!! An evening prior to the exam, they were informing that the link does not work!! I tried logging in through the iPad, but the link did not work either. If they would have informed me earlier, I could have gone to school and got it checked by the IT technician. I told them that we must take NAAM first and then we will fix this problem. At around 8.30pm, I went to the web site myself and realised that we had to download the latest version of Chrome to appear for the test. Something in my heart was not letting me panic, it said, DADA is there...and so is HIS MAGIC. HE will rescue us as HE always does!!
When I tried downloading the latest version of Chrome, the system did not let me download. By Dada's Grace, an idea struck me. There is a teacher in our building who works with me in the same school and she too has a laptop. I called her and explained her my problem. I asked if I could borrow her laptop and she agreed. I requested if I could come and check if the link works on her laptop or not. When I went down to her house and checked the link, it did not work there either. But here come our DADA's Grace. She said that she had some issue and she was trying to call our IT guys but she was not able to connect through them for many days. However, on Saturday, just two hours back, an IT technician from our school called her and resolved her problem. She asked if I needed the number of the IT Technician and try resolving the issue on call. It was 9.15pm on a Saturday night and I called the IT technician, hoping he could help me. The IT technician was so helpful and by sharing my screen helped me download the latest version of Chrome in just five minutes. My issue was resolved and both my children were able to appear for the exam the next day.
What I realised is that when there is this inner calm knowing that 'DADA is there...' then I get to see that DADA always has beautiful ways, either directly or through someone to resolve our issues. HE never leaves us alone and HE is always there with us!!
HE did not let the efforts and practice of my children fail by providing them an opportunity to appear for the exam.
