Back in early August of 2015, I was relaxing after a stressful exam, and packing to visit India to see Nitinmama. A song by the artist Florence and the Machine that I like called 'You've Got the Love' came on. I hadn't heard the song in years, its from 2010 or so. I made a mental note to go listen to it again later, not even for the words because usually I do not pay attention to lyrics, and from the passive listening I had done, it seemed to be about romance - but I liked the melody and the feeling it evoked.
A few days later, I was finally headed to India to see Nitinmama, and at the Newark airport we were waiting for our flight to Mumbai. I was bored so I listened to the song on Youtube, again not listening for the lyrics. After it finished I put my headphones away and the same song came on the Newark airport speakers! How is this possible? I was shocked because its such an old and random song and it was such a small world that right as i finished it, the song came on again publicly. AGAIN I did not pay attention to the lyrics but in la la land listened to the melody.
A month later after I returned from the India trip one night I was laying in bed in Ohio and got the thought to listen to that song again. I turned it on and started listening and then the light-bulb went off as I listened to the lyrics; they were about God.
“Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough
And things go wrong no matter what I do
Now and then it seems that life is just too much

When friends are gone I know my Saviour's love is real

Several experiences had occurred in India that trip had made me realize I had to shift my reliance to Him. The lyrics were the same message HE gave me in India. He tried to give it to me before, He even used the Newark airport speakers!! So many times, and His message went over my head.
In Satsang, Nitinmama has said that God’s help is coming through to us, but we have not tuned our radio to HIS frequency, so we miss His message or help. This was a literal example for me, with a song on the radio and a message from Him, and me engrossed in Maya and missing it, not once, or even twice, but three times.
I found this share in my old emails and it reminded me again, of the small ways He appears for us to make us feel like our house is bugged, to show us He is there witnessing the world with us behind our eyes and ears, and how after 5 years, the same lesson is equally applicable to me, that He's got the love.
