Our Dada's Grace is always overflowing and on July 17, 2020, we experienced it yet one more time! Oh, HE loves us all so much....!!
It has been raining cats and dogs in Mumbai for the past few days. The ceiling of our drawing room or the hall is concealed by a false ceiling made of Plaster of Paris (POP). Since two-three days, the rain started to seep in through the cracks and the water dripped from our ceiling. There was a continuous flow of water coming from the roof, so we put buckets under the leaks. Another small crack appeared on the ceiling and water started to drip from it. We could see that the ceiling made of plaster of Paris (POP) had become loose and because it was wet, it had become weak.
On Thursday night, after winding up for the day, when my kids and I had just gone to sleep in our bedrooms(Amit, my husband was in the office as he was doing a night shift), we heard a loud noise. Running out to the hall, we noticed that a part of the ceiling had collapsed and it had landed right onto the floor. The entire day i.e. the whole of Thursday, I was sitting right under the same roof to work from home and to take NAAM in the late evening. I also spoke to my mother, sitting right under the same roof just 10 minutes before the ceiling collapsed. The kids were there under that roof just few minutes before it fell. Dada made sure that no one got hurt. I wonder, what would have happened if the same roof would have collapsed just five minutes before. If I had got hurt, my kids would have been clueless on how to call for any help at 12 midnight.
After looking at the damage of the ceiling, we thought that we would clear the concrete mess fallen on the floor the next day. Then at about 5 in the morning, we heard another sound and came outside to check. We saw that another portion of the roof had collapsed. We saw that the debris had scattered all over the floor, especially on the temple altar. It has been almost a couple of months that we put Nitin Dada (HIS photo), Gannu (our little Ganesha Deity) and Lallu (little Krishna Deity) to sleep with us in the bedroom. If Dada would not have blessed us with this beautiful idea and practice, THEY too would have got hurt from the plaster of paris debris. The best part was the positive spirit with which, I could handle the situation by Dada's Grace alone. Neither my kids nor I panicked and when Amit came in the morning by 5.30, we welcomed him and narrated the whole story highlighting Dada's Grace on all of us!!
