We had moved from Mumbai to Goa in 2008 as we wanted to be in Sri NitinDada's company. However, my Parents stayed back in Mumbai with my elder sister for a year and a half before moving in with me.

In November 2013, they went back to Mumbai to stay with my sister for some time. In July 2014, my father was diagnosed with CA prostate stage-4. My father was 84 years old at the time. My sister stays in Powai so she took him to Hiranandani Hospital.

I got a call from her giving me the news of my father's illness and she further conveyed that the doctors had advised not to remove the prostate but to do an orchidectomy as cancer had spread. She also told me that she had not informed my father about his illness.

I have a younger sister as well, who stays in Kudal which is around 120 Kms away from my home in Goa. I informed her about our father's illness and told her that I was booking a flight for Alpana (my wife), my sister, and me so that we could go and meet my father at the earliest .

किती ही अपेक्षा

साष्टांग नमस्कार.

ह्या लॉकडाउनमध्ये बऱ्याच जणाना (नातेवाईक/नवरा) दादांचे  वेगवेगळया कारणानी मेसेज /फोन येत होते. माझ्याही मनात सुप्त इच्छा होती कि मलाही दादांचा फोने किंवा मेसेज यावा. जेव्हा दादांनी शेअर ग्रुप केला तेव्हा मी त्याचा रिंगटोन वेगळा ठेवला त्याचबरोबर दादांच्या कॉलसाठी वेगळा रिंगटोन ठेवला.आता माझ्या इच्छेचं रूपांतर अपेक्षेत झाल होतं. शेवटचे दोन मेसेज दादांना पाठवले तेव्हा मी कितीही वर वर नाही म्हटलं तरी रिप्लाय येणार अशी अपेक्षा कुठेतरी होती.

नितीनदादाचे वास्तव्य अमेरिकेत असताना आम्ही भक्त मंडळी त्याला सत्संगासाठी त्याची उपलब्धता आम्हाला कळवण्याची विनंती करत असू व दादाही आम्हाला त्याप्रमाणे तारखा कळवत असे. दादानी कळवलेल्या तारखांप्रमाणे आम्ही त्याच्या गावी हॉटेल मधे जाऊन रहात असू. मी दिवसा हॉटेलमधुनच ऑफिसचे काम करत असे व संध्याकाळी सत्संगसाठी दादाच्या घरी जात असे.

Ram Navami was the first time that I took part in ‘Pahara’. The Mantra was being repeated in the Hall continuously from 8 am to 5 pm. Devotees chose 1-hour long slots of their time preference to do Pahara. Nitindada had earlier posted guidelines on the group to help us maintain the utmost respect to SriMaharaj/The Mantra during Pahara. This was the attitude even during making the arrangements for that day. HIS guidance to the organizers was entirely based on the principles of Maharaj/Paramartha. The entire prior week, every care was taken to ensure that devotees could sit comfortably and repeat Ram Naam continuously with no external distractions.

I was one of the Sevaites & this was my learning through some examples:

• Every aspect of planning (Prasad, Audio, Seating, etc) was thoroughly studied to the minutest detail (without taking any easiest way out even though we were pressed for time) because HE says in Paramartha there are no short cuts.

Dada - My TRUE Father and Mother

I live in Mumbai with my mother-in-law (Ma), Amit (my husband) and our two children. Almost about a month back, I had a very nasty argument with Ma and in a fit of anger, I asked her to leave the house and to go live with my brother-in-law in Bandra. That same evening, my brother-in-law came to pick her up and she went away. This whole incident had really shattered me.

The nagging thought that haunted my mind was, "How will I ever face Dada now?" That argument was constantly playing in my mind, did I do the right thing? Why could I not control my anger, or in the first place could I have just reacted differently? For three full weeks, my mind was very agitated and restless. Whenever I sat to take NAAM, cooked food or taught my kids, these thoughts constantly played in my mind.

On June 11th, Dada had come in my dream and HE gave me the TIKKA on my forehead. When I woke up, I shared the dream with Amit, and I was happy. After almost three weeks of useless thoughts and restless mind, my mind was at peace. The rest of Thursday went by smoothly. 'तळमळ आणि आर्तते मधे काय फरक आहे?'

मला तळमळ असते पण कसली? महाराज भेटावे, गोंदावल्याला जावं, नाम चांगलं व्हावं, वगैरे आणि त्यासाठी आम्ही प्रयत्नही करत असतो. पण ती तळमळ कशी आहे ? ती थोडावेळ टिकते कारण परत संसाराचं काही सुरू झालं की ही (परमार्थाची) तळमळ कमी होते आणि संसाराची वाढते. हा आमचा प्रॉब्लेम असतो. म्हणून आमची ‘ही’ (परमार्थाची) तळमळ नेहमीच टेम्पररी असते.

On 14th June, I went to sleep early as I had an early morning shift to go to work. I woke up after midnight with a sore throat and a blocked nose. I did saltwater gargling but there was no relief. I could not get any sleep and I panicked. So, I sent a message to Dada explaining my symptoms and asked for guidance. Dada enquired whether I had gone to work and further asked me whether I had worn a face mask while going to and in office in the past few days and cautioned me to alert my mother and brother with whom I met the previous day that they should monitor themselves and take extra care. Dada later sent me relevant information showing through images of how to properly wear a face mask along with the importance of following physical distancing and good hygiene practices.

Later in the day, as my body ache increased, I called up a doctor who asked me to check whether I had a fever and I informed that my body temperature showed as 101. The doctor then told me that I had to get a test for COVID 19 done the next day. I was taken aback and not sure and I messaged Dada again who advised me to follow the doctor's instructions and not hesitate in doing the test. The next day I gave the test for COVID 19 at Nanavati hospital, Mumbai and went to collect the report on the following day and to my relief, the test results showed negative an...
